Product Details.

Yoke Machine (MPI Yoke) is a portable electromagnetic magnetizing device designed for Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) of ferromagnetic materials. It generates a localized magnetic field between its adjustable legs, allowing magnetic particles to accumulate around surface and near-surface discontinuities.

During inspection, the yoke is positioned over the required area of the component and energized to create the magnetic field. Magnetic particles are then applied to the test surface. When a crack or other discontinuity interrupts the magnetic flux, a leakage field is produced, causing the particles to gather around the discontinuity and form a visible indication.

The portable design makes the MPI Yoke particularly useful for inspecting large, heavy, stationary, or difficult-to-move components where bench-type MPI equipment is not practical. Adjustable pivoting legs allow the yoke to accommodate different component shapes and weld profiles.

Depending on the configuration, yoke machines are available in AC, DC, battery-operated, and dual-mode AC/DC versions. AC yokes are commonly used for detecting fine surface discontinuities, while DC or permanent-magnetizing configurations can provide greater field penetration.

The Yoke Machine is widely used for weld inspection, pipeline inspection, structural steel examination, castings, forgings, railway components, shipbuilding, power-generation equipment, automotive components, and general industrial NDT applications.
